I think people from Colorado are the nicest people EVER. Example 1. You see those sticks he's holding? I had to hurry him across the street so a car could turn and he dropped the sticks in the crosswalk and was really upset. The driver saw Jackson crying, stopped the car, and got out and gave Jackson his sticks back. Who does that?!? People from Colorado.
Example 2. We ate at a bar with Paul's coworkers the last night. Jackson wandered over to the pool area and some random guys there put their money in to get balls out for Jackson to throw into the pockets. One of them even put Jackson on a chair and helped him with the cue. They showed him how to put the money in to get the balls out. When Jackson would run out of balls, they let him take quarters from their pile to go get more. They even gave Jackson the rest of their quarters when we left. They spent at least $10 on this random kid they didn't know. Who does that?!? People from Colorado.
Walking on the trail with Jackson was SO FRUSTRATING. He takes for.ev.er. to walk because he's looking at everything. I think it took us almost an hour to get to the botanical garden. I hate telling him to hurry up, so my strategy was to walk ahead to a shady spot, read my kindle while I waited for him to catch up, walk to the next shady spot, read my kindle while he caught up, etc. Here I am this -> <- close to the entrance...
...and here is Jackson way back there, squatting and banging some rocks together. I think it took us almost an hour to walk there. It only took us ten minutes to get back because he stood on the stroller and ate a snack while I walked back.
Mika likes to hang out like this in stroller. She is so silly!
