Mika at 4 Months

She weighs 14 pounds and 10 ounces (75th percentile), and she is 25 inches long (90th percentile). She can't fit into any three-month clothes anymore, just sixes and nines. She still sleeps through the night with one wake-up call and takes three naps.

Big girl seat!

She just discovered her hands and feet. She will stare at her hands moving with a confused/amused look on her face. She also likes to grab her toes. She just got really into objects. She loves to pick things up and put them in her mouth. If she can't pick it up, she will swat it with her hands or kick it. I am getting rid of all our plastic teething toys and replacing them with wooden ones. My professor mentioned that little girls are going through puberty earlier and earlier and that hormone disrupters in plastics might be part of the problem (and no, just because something is BPA-free doesn't necessarily make it safe). So she is 100% breastfed with no bottles, uses wooden toys, doesn't use a pacifier, and will have metal utensils and no plastic dishes. I'm also contemplating getting rid of more plastic stuff around the kitchen. (I thought being a second-time mom was supposed to make you less anal retentive?????)

Much healthier than plastic ;)

Mika being a couch potato. It's ok because it's an Auburn game??

She is alllllllmost rolling over, she will roll almost all the way over and then throw herself back. I thought she was rolling all the way over, then I realized that Jackson was rolling her over when my back was turned.

I mean...seriously. Mika, just freaking roll all the way over. Geez.

However, she can usually sit for ten to twenty seconds in the tripod stance. She likes to sit and bang on her books.

She is just a sweetheart and wonderful baby. She is the easier of the two kids and is so chill unless she's hungry/sleepy/wet.
